Cristina Castellani

He was born in Rome in 1966 and lives and works in Nettuno where he works for Graphic and Screen Printing Studies. Since childhood she has loved art and general drawing. Surrealist painter, she trained at the School of Advertising Graphics and at the School of Ornamental Art in Rome. He has always tried to express his emotions and reality seen with his own eyes and inner sensations on the canvas and through colors. Of his painting, Vittorio Sgarbi writes:  "I believe that the invention in Castellani has a decisive importance in the aesthetic proposal which can be disassembled from the complex of her works, seen as the moment that more than any other is able to stimulate the imaginative faculties of creativity in the best way to convey in the tracks of hum speech of a purely formal character (.....) a style that I would define Pop Nat, if it can be said, reconciling the instance of a primitivist expressiveness, truthful and deliberately simplifying in organizing the form, in communication modalities that recall graphically certain illustrations of the years  Sixties-Seventies with a psychodelic spirit, as it was said at the time ".

He has exhibited in solo and group exhibitions in Anzio, Monte Soratte, Nettuno, Poggio Mirteto, Rome, obtaining numerous awards and recognitions. His works can be found in Italy and abroad in numerous private collections.
